Due to old tax software that assumed every cooperative was a farm, there has been a running joke at our coop that Palante would one day get into farming. We still haven’t, but Janine has!
Janine is leaving Palante to pursue a career in farming while continuing their digital security work as a freelance consultant, and all of us wish them the best of luck. Janine came to us back in 2018 and hit the ground running doing tech work. Since then they’ve become an invaluable member of the cooperative, working as a brilliant digital security facilitator and trainer and consolidating our operations and admin functions. All the while being an absolute badass to work alongside. We can’t wait to see what Janine will grow next!
